My name is Ryan O’Leary and I am a life-long Tottenham Hotspur Football Club fan. Born and raised by my Tottenham loving father, I have supported this great team through both the good days and the bad. This blog will highlight all thoughts Tottenham related. I will share pre-match comments and post-match reports of Tottenham Hotspur fixtures while only having a hint of bias! Kane, Alli, or Eriksen, I will share my encyclopaedic knowledge of the team and keep you up to date on the latest hotspur happenings.
As a football fan you have to take the ‘rough with the smooth’. It’s unpredictability and unparalleled drama means that a football match can never be foresighted and that is a major part of its appeal to me. Of course I want Spurs to win every single game that they play, however being a true fan means supporting them not only through the victories but through the despair too!
The ‘pure joy’ and exhilaration of being at football games is enthralling. Such is the intensity of the experience, that two thirds of fans have cried at football matches, myself included. Football provides for many fans an opportunity to let themselves go emotionally — to release the frustrations of everyday life, although being a Spurs game has its own frustrations!
One thing that is guaranteed from watching Tottenham Hotspurs is that it is always a pulsating rollercoaster of emotions that creates both joy and heart palpitations at times, and I wouldn’t change it for a second!
